The Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) is one of Ukraine’s leading independent think tanks, specializing in economic research and public policy consulting. IER’s mission is to develop and promote solutions for prosperity and sustainable development based on the principles of a market economy, freedom, and open dialogue.
Founded in 1999, the Institute has worked closely with the Government of Ukraine to help define reform priorities and policy instruments while maintaining an active dialogue with all stakeholders committed to driving positive change.
IER’s expertise in analyzing Ukraine’s economic development, business climate, and international trade has been widely applied in the development of national and regional policy documents, including during Ukraine’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the negotiation of the EU–Ukraine Association Agreement.
