Monitoring the Implementation of the IMF Program and EU Assistance №5
Successful cooperation with international partners is critically important for Ukraine, as it is essential for financing priority government spending, while domestic revenues are directed towards security and defence.
Fulfilling commitments under financial support programmes is first and foremost in Ukraine’s own interest. It is essential for achieving economic resilience, supporting a return to economic growth and improving the well-being of Ukrainians. It also strengthens the confidence of international partners and foreign businesses.
This monitoring covers the fulfilment of commitments as of the end of May 2024.
The RRR4U Consortium continues to regularly monitor Ukraine’s fulfilment of its commitments under the IMF financing programme. The fourth review of the programme is scheduled for June. Ukraine has already fulfilled all the structural benchmarks required for the successful completion of the review.
The EU Council has given final approval to the Ukraine Plan, which is required to implement the EUR 50 billion Ukraine Facility. This decision paves the way for Ukraine to receive approximately EUR 1.9 billion in unconditional financing following the signing of the Framework Agreement and its ratification by the Verkhovna Rada. Going forward, funding under the programme will be provided only subject to the fulfilment of the specified indicators.
