Norwegian University of Science and Technology

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is an internationally oriented university headquartered in Trondheim, with additional campuses in Gjøvik and Ålesund.

While NTNU is best known for its strengths in science and technology, it also offers a broad range of academic programmes and conducts research in the humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine and health sciences, education, architecture, entrepreneurship, and the arts.

NTNU traces its origins to 1760 with the founding of the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters in Trondheim. Following the merger of several higher education institutions in 2016, NTNU became Norway’s largest university.
