Monitoring the Implementation of the IMF Program and EU Assistance №8
This monitoring report covers the implementation of the benchmarks and indicators as of the end of September 2024.
Ukraine is meeting its key commitments under the IMF programme, as well as under the Ukraine Plan, which underpins EU assistance to Ukraine.
In October, the IMF Executive Board is expected to approve the fifth review of the programme, with the next tranche of $1.1 billion expected to be disbursed. Ukraine has met all quantitative performance criteria and implemented one structural benchmark.
On 13 August, Ukraine received €4.2 billion from the EU under the Ukraine Facility for meeting all Ukraine Plan indicators for the second quarter.
Successful cooperation with international partners is critically important for Ukraine, as it is essential for financing the government’s priority expenditures, while domestic revenues are directed towards security and defence.
Fulfilling commitments under financial support programmes is first and foremost in Ukraine’s own interest. It is a necessary precondition for achieving economic resilience, moving towards economic growth and improving the well-being of Ukrainians, while also strengthening the confidence of international partners and foreign businesses.
The RRR4U Consortium continues to regularly monitor Ukraine’s compliance with the IMF programme conditions and implementation of the Ukraine Plan, which provides the basis for EU assistance under the Ukraine Facility.
