Senior Researcher
Iryna Fedets is a researcher and consultant specializing in economic development, private sector recovery, entrepreneurship, SME competitiveness, investment, and regional development.
She has been with the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) for more than 15 years. During this time, she has led and contributed to analytical, evaluation, and research projects for the European Commission, USAID, UNDP, GIZ, the World Bank, and other international organizations. Her expertise includes research design and methodology, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, public policy evaluation, and the development of evidence-based recommendations for government institutions, international partners, businesses, and civil society organizations.
She has extensive experience working with Ukrainian enterprises, business associations, local governments, and stakeholders involved in Ukraine’s recovery, giving her an in-depth understanding of the country’s economic landscape, business environment, investment climate, and post-war recovery challenges. She is skilled at translating research findings and complex datasets into practical insights and actionable recommendations that support evidence-informed decision-making and sustainable economic development.
She holds an MA in Sociology from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
