June 2026 edition of the Public Investment Watchdog released

In June, communities registered new public investment projects worth UAH 20.1 billion. However, they actually received only UAH 200 million in funding, against the expected UAH 6 billion, of which UAH 4.5 billion was earmarked for the reconstruction of the centralised heating system in Kherson.

This is according to the June monitoring report under the Public Investment Watchdog project, prepared with the support of the European Union by the Centre for Economic Strategy and Technologies of Progress.

In June, 376 new public investment projects were registered on the DREAM platform, compared with 545 in May.

The largest number of new projects were in two areas:

  • education and science – 160;
  • municipal infrastructure and services – 131.

According to DREAM data, the platform now contains 15,085 investment projects, which have received UAH 34.4 billion in funding against total needs of UAH 1.1 trillion.

Thus, despite communities continuing to prepare new investment projects, the amount of funding actually received remains low.
