Vitaliy Kravchuk
Senior Researcher
Vitaliy has nearly 19 years of professional experience in analysing macroeconomic developments and economic policy in Ukraine, with a particular focus on monetary policy and financial markets. For more than ten years, he has been involved in macroeconomic forecasting at the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER), contributing to consensus forecasts prepared by the National Bank of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy, and FocusEconomics.
He has extensive experience in macroeconomic modelling and assessing the impact of economic policy changes. Vitaliy has participated in four ex-post evaluations of Ukraine’s macro-financial assistance programmes, as well as a mid-term evaluation of USAID’s Financial Sector Transformation project. He is also a co-author of the Analytical Report on Development Finance Assessment in Ukraine, supported by UNDP.
Vitaliy has also contributed to international research and technical assistance projects covering EU support to Ukraine, investment, foreign trade, and social reforms, as well as assessments of the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, particularly in the areas of financial services and road transport.
He holds an MA in International Economic Relations from the Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He has also completed specialised training programmes offered by the IMF Institute for Capacity Development.
