The EU Money Puzzle: Ukraine, Poland and the Future of Structural Funds
Access to the EU’s structural funds will be an important milestone in Ukraine’s European integration. At the same time, making effective use of this funding will require not only compliance with EU requirements, but also strong institutional capacity, sufficient resources for co-financing, and the readiness of local authorities and businesses to implement relevant projects.
Ukraine’s preparations for future funding and lessons from Poland’s experience in implementing cohesion policy were discussed during a joint discussion organised by the Warsaw Enterprise Institute (WEI) and the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER).
