Current business challenges and investment attractiveness in Ukraine

The Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) carried out the project “Current business challenges and investment attractiveness in Ukraine” commissioned by the Ukrainian Business Ombudsman Council.
The project aimed to examine the key challenges facing Ukrainian businesses amid the full-scale war, assess the needs of enterprises of different sizes, and identify the factors affecting Ukraine’s investment attractiveness.
As part of the project, IER experts analysed business–government relations, issues related to European integration and exports to the EU, and foreign investors’ expectations. The research resulted in recommendations for public authorities on addressing labour shortages, developing logistics and export infrastructure, expanding access to finance, and improving the business environment for small and medium-sized enterprises.
