Andrii Butin

Senior Researcher

Andrii Butin is an expert in international trade policy, foreign economic relations, trade defence, and government relations. He has more than 12 years of experience in public administration and diplomatic service, as well as over 10 years of work in the civil society sector.

His areas of expertise include export promotion, trade defence instruments, support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), trade facilitation, deregulation of foreign economic activity, and customs policy. He also conducts research on international trade policy, European integration, and measures to protect domestic industries.

His professional experience includes preparing analytical reports and policy papers, reviewing trade-related legislation and regulations, and conducting interviews and focus groups with representatives of the business community, public authorities, and civil society organizations. He has extensive practical experience in applying trade defence instruments, drafting legislation and regulatory acts, government relations, project management, and organizational development. He also has teaching experience.

He holds a degree in Law from the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.”
